In April we had the pleasure of being able to assist the Volunteers for Youth Justice organization and our local CASA as they kicked off Child Abuse Awareness Month in April. Our contribution to their cause was a portrait session to include a CD of all images. This month we were finally able to photograph the family of Mrs. Deanna Curtis, the winner of the prize. What is even better is that Mrs. Curtis is herself a CASA employee in Arcadia. Which is why I have titled this blog entry 'Our Light of Hope'.... It is through the work of many dedicated volunteers and CASA employees that many children in Louisiana are given hope and a chance at a better life, free of abuse. To all those who spend their time protecting the children of our state, thank you, you are truly our 'Light of Hope'. Enjoy!

Megan and Todd { Bridals }, Louisiana Wedding Photographer
While planning for her bridals, Megan decided she wanted to include Todd in the shoot. The only problem being she still did not want Todd to see her in her wedding dress before the big day. Our solution was for Todd to arrive blindfolded and stay that way until we placed him somewhere he could not see Megan. Then we removed the blindfold just long enough to capture the moment. Todd went along with everything and was such a good sport the entire time. We really enjoyed getting to spend time with this great couple again!
